FEDERAL BENEFITS
Our office provides a wide range of services for the U.S. Social Security
Administration and other Federal agencies (Veterans Administration, Office of
Personnel Management, etc.). Some of our main responsibilities are to assist
individuals living in Spain to file applications for benefits, request Social
Security Number cards, obtain earnings records and in general, provide expert
and personalized information on the Social Security program.

services closed on fridays |

Effective Friday, May 16th, the FBU
section of the Embassy will be closed on Fridays. In addition, our regular
walk-in hours, from Monday through Thursday, will change to 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
However, our telephone service will remain unchanged and continue to be 9:00 AM
to 12:30 PM., Monday through Friday. |

Social Security Board of Trustees: Long-Range
Financing Outlook Remains Unchanged
The Social Security Board of Trustees today released its annual report on the
financial health of the Social Security Trust Funds and the long-range outlook
remains unchanged. The combined assets of the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance,
and Disability Insurance (OASDI) Trust Funds will be exhausted in 2037, the same
as projected last year
